Ouchy-wa-wa

Yikes. Today on my run around the park, I saw that the gate to the high school track was open. I just couldn't run by without taking a few spins around it. Once I was running, I obviously couldn't just run by the hurdles that were sitting there all ready to be jumped. Once I was warmed up from hurdling I couldn't pass up the pit, so I practiced some long jump finishes into the pit. Which naturally led to me working on each phase separately and throwing in a few full triple jumps.

As I worked I tweaked a few specifics that I noticed were a bit out of whack after two years. Not a good idea. And by tweaked I mean continuously repeated drills in order to perfect a few specifics. Groin=pulled. I can barely move my left leg. I've always laughed at people who do too much too fast assuming I would never be that out of practice, but here I am. It's a sad day when 50% effort pulls your leg out of socket.

Better get back out there tomorrow.

Did I mention I love daylight savings because it was still completely light at 7 PM!?

Hahahaha. Love the title, I can see you saying it. I was expecting the story to end with the high school coach approaching you after watching you the whole time and requesting you join the track team for the rest of the season. keep up the skills al!
