Check!
I love to check things off.
I have been working on my Teacher Work Sample that goes with my internship and I just cannot spell out the immense satisfaction I got today from checking off so many objectives with my Facilitator. I never even realized that I love checking things off so much until I got a complete high from waiting in line with all my evidence from my classroom prepared and organized, waiting to get those little checks that say I'm being successful as a teacher. Wow it felt good.
Here are a few other things that I love to check off:
1. My planner. I often write things in after I have done them in order to cross them out.
2. My grocery list. Need I explain more.
3. My list that is written in my head (or on the mirror) of household chores and the like that I need/am pumped to get done. Some may see this task as looming, but I couldn't live without that mental list in the forefront of my mind. Really, I can't remember a time when it hasn't been there.
4. My bed full of messiness. Often when I clean, I put all out of place things in a centralized location (bed, table, couch) and then I just get to put them away one at a time! Check! Check! Check!
5. My to do list at school. This one is especially pleasing to check off due to the fact that I not only get to use dry erase markers (that make my handwriting look awesome) to write it, but that I then get to erase the marker when I accomplish a goal. What a satisfactory reward.
6. Stickie notes on the computer. I often compile lists and things using the "Stickies" application on my computer. I cross things out using a "strikethrough," which, again, is exhilarating.
And I will say that I looked for the beginning of episode 23 of season 4 of FRIENDS for about 20 minutes because I wanted to have it with this post. For those other lovers of the show, it's the one where Ross is packing and he says "check!" after everything, then Monica comes and does the same thing. Though I've been laying here laughing hysterically playing it in my head, I realize that was the most boring explanation I could have given.

I DO THIS ALL THE TIME.
i used to get made fun of because sometimes i write things in my planner after i've already done them. you know, to "keep track."
