New Developments

I've never been much a Christmas enthusiast before this year. I will have to say that, according to Barrett and Allie standards, we went all out. It seemed like we had The 45 Days of Christmas and instead of getting birds we got new decorations or gifts or something else awesome.

I am not very good at keeping my blog current or reading others, but, after months of research, I have found that I gravitate towards posts with photos. Therefore, there may be a uneven photo:word ratio.

I'll now share some of the newness and greatness with you. Things that are new include but are not limited to:

Me being crafty.
I personally sanded down the wood and "Modge-Podged" the the letters on. For a double-whamy, I included a second side that is less cool, more extravagant, and blue, with modge-podged letters and craft paper that read S-N-O-W. What a delight for our mantel.

A decorative wreath.
Did you ever think you would see not one, but TWO Christmas crafts on the blog of the Roses?! I will admit, my craftiness has been brutally underestimated. This little gem was created simply by putting ornaments on a hanger and tying a ribbon at the top!

A seasonal plant to adorn our table that has not yet been negligently cared for.

Personalized and delightful Christmas tree skirt from Lauren and Mike.

Stockings, again, from the great gift givers, with font matching that of tree skirt!

First Christmas together ornament from Mom.

Awesome Nativity set from my mom. Definite Bethlehem-esque architecture. After much confusion at the store, also learned you can call this a "Creche."

Drop cookies.
I've always loved them when others make them but have never attempted myself. Jenni and I had quite the success with these little puppies.

Thanks for all the Christmas wishes and gifts that were sent our way! We love you all and are so thankful for our warm little home and for all the blessings that we receive every day.
Merry Late Christmas from the Roses!
