Europe- Part 6- More Amsterdam

Back in Amsterdam we headed over to a little pub near our house and had some delicious fish and chips.  French fries were a staple of most meals in Holland (even at the Italian places) and as Addie was just starting to eat real food, I'm surprised she wasn't ruined for life.

We then made our long awaited stop at the Rijksmuseum.  Note to everyone: always buy your tickets online before you go anywhere. We did for everything and it saved us SO much time. But you are probably smart and do that anyway :)

Addison naturally slept through a lot of our stay, to keep up with her routine of sleeping through everything famous.

The museum was amazing, but luckily our last one, because we were pretty museumed out.  I've always been a huge Vermeer lover and it was really cool to see a few of my favorite paintings in real life, like, Woman Reading a Letter.  We saw the Night Watch, by Rembrandt, (its behind us in that pic above), and it filled up a whole wall! I was not expecting that. Obvi, we spent most of our time looking at the Dutch Masters and the amazing architecture of the actual building.

Happy to take over watching Addie for a bit after missing her for two days!
When we left the museum it was drizzling a bit, so we quickly wandered to a restaurant for lunch and ended up at the Hard Rock Cafe Amsterdam.  Luckily they had huge umbrellas, so we could still get a spot and eat outside.  Side note: why has America not caught on to this eating outside thing? I always do it home and wish I could do it at every meal when I go out!!!!

Me and happy little Addie strolling through town.
We had a wonderful day, no surprise there. Barrett and I can't wait to end up back in Amsterdam sometime- hopefully with my parents! (My dad is Dutch, so here's to hoping he wants to go back soon!) It's a city that we never thought we'd love and is now in my top 3!

These are my shoes. I took a lot of shoe pics and really appreciated my wardrobe on this trip, but most of those pics just didn't make the cut for blogging.
