Times are a Changin'

Once again, my title has multiple meanings. I don't know why this keeps happening to me.

Meaning 1: This year has gone so fast so far. I honestly don't know if time is actually going faster (mystery of the universe I guess) or if I have just been busier. Maybe it's just because I am getting older and more involved in having a real life that consists of church, work, and family and not just school. Honestly, I feel like the new year just began. Where did it go? I cannot imagine time going any faster but I have no doubt it will get exponentially faster as I get older.

Meaning 2: Barrett's wrist is a barometer. Since he had surgery in high school on his wrist/arm after a horrid break, he's never been the same. Reliably, a day before weather turns stormy and air pressure drops, Barrett mentions his wrist hurts. After seeing this many times, I established the correlation. It's nice now (for me) to use as a weather prediction system. Not so nice for Barrett though.

Meaning 3: We are definitely in the last days. Each person I speak to has been noticing this more and more. Elder Oaks testimony at the end of the CES Fireside tonight seemed so straightforward and serious, as did his talk. Last General Conference definitely had a different tone to me and I look forward to the messages we will hear in less than a month! Lastly, how many wars, contentions, earthquakes, fires, hurricanes, etc. have we been hearing about lately? I try to attribute the happenings to my attention to news that I haven't previously had. Maybe I just think more is happening because I hear about it and I didn't pay attention when I was younger. But as I speak to friends, they bring up the same things I'm thinking! My 30-day Book of Mormon Ward Challenge may have a part in this as well due to the fact that I hear of these other fallen civilizations that seem to parellel ours so completely. Sure leaves you thinking....!

Thank you Allie. Your example has been helping me. And you can check with B's wrist, but it seems like good walking/running/tennis weather to me - text me!
