The Island Life...

... is what we are not living. But drink mixes were on sale at the store on Saturday night. I happened (after an excited phone call to Barrett) to pick up some Pina Colada and Strawberry Daiquiri mixes, sans alcohol, in order to attempt a re-creation of the beloved "Lava Flows" from our time on the honeymoon. Ingredients: banana colada, strawberry something (we used daiquiri) of some sort, and ice. These drinks, in Kauai, were: 1) very small, 2) very expensive, 3) very delicious/worth paying $8 for--twice. At home these drinks were: 1) large to very large, 2) sooo cheap, 3) almost as delicious.
