= Good Weekend

After date night last night at Olive Garden (thanks to the Durham's great birthday gift to Barrett) he volunteered to watch one of my movies. We spent a lovely (tearful, for me) time watching P.S. I Love You. He is always amazed, I think, at how little it takes to send tears flowing down my face.

Following a long, random bout of spring cleaning this afternoon/evening, he decided it was his turn to choose the movie. He settled on Michael Jordan to the Max, a documentary about Jordan's last few years. Sorry Jazz fans! Little does he know that I am more than fine with that genre.

Here is the breakdown of our cinematic preferences:

Barrett only:
  • Things that are scary
  • Cerebral flicks
Me only:
  • Romantic comedies involving little or no thought
  • Romantic dramas
Both of us:
  • Action movies
  • Basketball documentaries
Lately we've watched:
1. Multiple episodes of the The Association featuring the Boston Celtics,
2. A two hour documentary on the Fab Five from Michigan in the early 90's,
3. Michael Jordan to the Max,
4. Every NBA game with Celtics, Knicks, Mavericks, Jazz, Nuggets, Lakers, or Thunder and then some.

Joyous.

Ah! P.S. I Love You makes me cry so hard, it's embarrassing. The part at the end where he is reading the last letter to her as she is walking on top of the dugout?!?! I can only watch this movie once every 8 months.
