Yay Christmas Spirit!

Barrett and I went to see the new A Christmas Carol movie that came out last week. I was thinking it would be a bit lame and for kids and also I didn't really know the story of A Christmas Carol so I didn't know what to expect. The teacher in my 3rd grade classroom started reading this story to the class and I realized that this book was a classic that I might actually be able to fit into my schedule.

After seeing the movie I:

1. Was ecstatic. Laughed a lot. Had not been that happy in a while. So cheerful.

2. Went to Barnes & Noble and immediately purchased a copy of A Christmas Carol, The Chimes, and The Cricket on the Hearth, all in one Charles Dickens collection of greatness since I knew I would want more after reading A Christmas Carol.

3. Also bought a cheap copy of Walden after being inspired to read good books.

4. Went home and listened to three of my favorite Christmas CDs

a. 12 Best Songs of Christmas (surprisingly a free give away from American Eagle)
b. Nat King Cole, Christmas Favorites
c. Mannheim Steamroller

5. Got out my Christmas decorations, hung my wonderful 80's drum light set in my room, burnt candles, danced a bit.

What a wonderful inspiring movie!!!! A happy one that I would recommend to all! Also a bit scary, but just the right amount.

And it's not even Thanksgiving yet.
